Role & responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Participate in audits and facilitate responses to audit inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations (Shops, PT, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, IT, Import/export...)
- Responsible for the computation of Income Tax, Advance tax, Tax Provisions, TDS related compliances, and filing.
- Accurate and timely entry of vouchers into the accounting system.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with managing financial transactions in multiple currencies and mitigating foreign exchange risks.
- Understanding of transfer pricing regulations and their implications for financial reporting.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance.
- Knowledge of Indian labour lows implementation and filing.
- Prepare payroll, payroll taxes work with finance controller and HQ team.
- Handling Annual Statutory & Tax Audits from inception till closure.
- Knowledge of legislation and procedures pertaining to salary deductions.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the senior accountants or management.
- Adherence to all prescribed ethical guidelines, including confidentiality.
- Knowledge about make in India certification process.
- Relevant experience of 5+ years.
- CA qualified not required but would be preferred
- Ability to build and manage financial models in Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software tally, Paybooks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Letter drafting according to statutory needs.
- Knowledge of payroll and statutory deductions.
- Coordination with Statutory and Internal/external Auditors.
